𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗱𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲-𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱 ⚔️— it can order your pizza/grocery in 30 seconds or wipe out your bank account just as fast.
Got this shady WhatsApp message few days back. Looks like an RTO challan at first glance. Very convincing as I drive car and high chance of parking ticket. The kind of thing that can easily fool someone who’s not familiar with such 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗺𝘀.
And guess what? That’s exactly what happened to my close friend running a business. One innocent tap on the link to check challan, and — ₹15,000 vanished from one of his account, ₹10,000 from another, all in under 10 minutes ⌚.
Thankfully, the scammer didn’t notice the other account with a few lakhs.!!!
This is the new scam format doing the rounds — an 𝗔𝗣𝗞 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 that looks like an official document. But it’s nothing more than a digital trap.
Sharing this here to make sure you’re not the next victim. 𝑷𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒆 𝒅𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒄𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒌 𝒐𝒏 𝒔𝒖𝒄𝒉 𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒌𝒔. RTO or any government agency won’t send challans on WhatsApp, and neither will your horoscope.
One can save and block this number to avoid hassles in the future!!!
Hope the 𝒄𝒚𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒎 is already tracking the number behind this. But till then — stay alert, stay updated, and if something looks fishy, don’t take the bait.
